Caravaggio is a 17th century Italian painter. Famous in his own lifetime,  he wins many commissions for paintings!  He invents a new way of painting  light and shade: chiaroscuro.  This dramatic technique becomes a style:  caravaggism.  At the height of his success,  Caravaggio kills a man in a duel.  He must leave Rome at once.  Where does he take refuge?
